Yesterday, Professor Nakatsubo from Hiroshima University and Professor Ueda from Nagoya City University visited Villaggio. They are both passionate early childhood educators, and many times, they presented their “Mimamoru-Approach” at NAEYC conferences. This, Mimamoru-Approach, is based on the Japanese traditional culture, and there are a lot of similarities with Villaggio dei Bambini’s philosophy.  In addition, they are both friends of Professor Satomi Izumi Taylor, who is Teacher Mabo’s superhero in ECE world.  So cool!!!  Thus, we had a great time!!!

When professors came, mommy & baby group, “Messy Play” was running. Today’s topic was “Messy Taste” with all the vegetables and herbs that were just picked up from our garden.

Picking up vegetables for the babies.

Babies liked professors♪

We had dinner together♪ They were very interested for Hong Kong’s local cultures.

Thank you for visiting us! and, have a nice & safe trip back to Japan!

Next, in May 2017, we are expecting Canadian educators to visit us!  It will be a fun meeting!
